This is a lower tire support bracket. This is for use with the late style WWII two bolt tire carrier, These are seen on the 1944 and 45 Willys MB and Ford GPW military jeeps. This is what the tire is supported on then bolted to the carrier. This bracket is bolted to the rear cross member. It is very heavily made for a long life.
