This is a new very nice quality and very correct shovel head bracket. This is what the spade part of the shovel fits under. This is mounted on the side of the body just behind the front fender. ON the WWII MB and GPW jeeps this is mounted on the drivers side and on the M38 this is mounted on the passenger side. There will be two indentions just below the door way for the pioneer tools. This is how you know which side to mount it to. On the M38A1C (recoil less rifle jeep) These were mounted on the passenger side just behind the upper rear section of the door opening. These are always missing.
