This is a brand new very correct and high quality 15/16″ steering box bushing and bearing kit. This is for the larger M38A1 and M170 Ross steering box. This kit includes the inner and outer bushings for the sector shaft, outer seal, worm gear bearings and races, and top cover shims. The sector shaft bushings on the Ross box are almost always worn out when found. This will cause quite a bit of play in your steering wheel. The way to check for the wear is turn the steering wheel back and forth and watch the sector shaft (main shaft in the steering box). If it has any vertical (up or down) movement the bushings are worn.

Note: This kit will require the bushings to be honed, once installed, to make a snug fit for the sector shaft. On the M38 please check which size sector shaft you have.
